Jin Yang's Column / Portal / Gate Type is for Larger bobbins with a low line speed. All three types of machines can be used with various bobbin sizes without changing adapters.
The column type machines can move in a vertical and horizontal motion to lower the CG of the machine to help change the bobbin and stability.
It does not have rails installed under the floor level.
The machine itself does not move other than inward and outward to load and unload the bobbins. The traverse is done by seperate traversing units. The portal type machine was designed with the same theory as the column type machine. The columns can move in a vertical and horizontal motion to lower the CG of machine to help change the bobbin and stability.
The customer can also have two portal type machines to decrease the bobbin changing time. When it is in configuration with two column type machines, the machine itself can act as a forklift. It can move the bobbin to its passline while the other one is working. Although it has to be moved manually (by pressing a button or using a knob), it can prevent safety accidents from happening by a forklift driving around the production area. Traverse is done by moving the machine itself on installed rails. The rails will be installed under the floor in order to maximize the amount of space available at the plant.
Two adapters on each side can move independently in a horizontal motion to use with bobbins that are not even anymore, and to keep the vibration and noise low. The gate type machine has a fixed body but hanging columns. It is very easy to understand if you look at the portal type take-up and flip it upside down. The columns can move in a vertical and horizontal motion to lower the CG of machine to help change the bobbin and stability. Traversing is done by the moving of columns through rails installed on top of the body.
