The purpose of the dancer is to control the tension of the conductor before the extruder. The key to designing the dancer is to calculate the right amount of counter weight to control the conductor, so wheels are not too heavy to stretch the conductor, or too light. Various wheel diameters and materials are used to manufacture the dancer. Also there are various styles of dancers used in different extrusion lines. Dancers are mostly used with the Arm Type Pay-Off or the Belt Wrapper.
